Holly is one of our wonderful customers at the Dyslexia Action Shop. Hear what she has to say about her experience with the shop!
Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Holly, and I run Nurturingnd. Nurturingnd offers assessments to identify dyslexia and other specific learning differences, exam access arrangements assessments, professional training and consultancy for individuals, schools and workplaces.
When did you first order from the Dyslexia Action Shop?
I first ordered from the Dyslexia Action Shop in 2023.
What do you like best about the shop?
The best things about the shop are the range of products offered and the super friendly and helpful staff. No query is ever a pain, and the team go out of their way to provide amazing levels of customer service.
What do you typically buy in the shop?
I typically buy assessment records from the shop. When I need to replace or update my assessment kit, I also purchase kits.
Do you have a favourite or preferred product in the shop?
I love the SPaRCS assessment; it is so easy to use and score and is really cost effective.
How has the product(s) helped you in your school/setting/private practice?
All of the products I buy through the shop help me in my different roles. I buy assessment resources to support my practice as an SpLD assessor and as an access arrangements assessor. I often signpost the resources available to buy in the shop, such as tinted exercise books, overlays and reading rulers in my recommendations, to parents and carers and in training sessions.
The shop is turning 30 this year! What do you hope to see from the shop in the future?
Happy 30th birthday to the Dyslexia Action Shop! In the future, I hope to see the same levels of outstanding customer service and product knowledge I have experienced so far.
Are there any other comments you’d like to share?
The Study Purchase Scheme is also an amazing resource for trainees. It would be fantastic if this could be opened up to other courses too.
I would also like to mention how accessible and user friendly the website is; the categories make shopping for what you want so time and energy efficient.
