WASI II is a brief measure of intelligence in clinical, educational and research settings.

WASI II has been updated to include:

• Reduced and efficient instructions
• better floors and ceilings

Content that more closely parallels the WISC–IV and the WAIS–IV.

The WASI II is a good measure of general cognitive ability, crystallised ability, nonverbal fluid ability and visuomotor/coordination skills. It also:

• Has approval for DSA Applications
• Creates better empirical foundations saving time through stronger links to the WISC–IV and the WAIS–IV 
• Offers an updated normative sample
• Allows controlled administration time and depth of assessment through either a four and/or two-subtest versions.

WASI II is a quick and reliable measure for Psychologists and researchers and can be used when screening for learning difficulties or intellectual giftedness, or to assess:

• If in-depth intellectual assessment screening is needed
• After a comprehensive evaluation
• Estimate Full Scale IQ (FSIQ) scores in busy practice settings
• Cognitive functioning of individuals referred for psychiatric evaluations
• FSIQ scores for vocational, rehabilitation, or research purposes.

Deeper links with WISC–IV and the WAIS–IV will establish equivalence and improve comparability with the comprehensive Wechsler scales’ composite scores. Taken together, these improvements enhance the joint use of the WASI–II and the comprehensive scales.
